The toborruedas is the biggest open slide for use with tires. Its design involves solidity, safety, a balance between fun and family use, for a great flow of users.
Its operation is easy due to the low maintenance which exists on the surface, thanks to the fact that the tires wear down the slide a lot less than in the case of body slides, generating a longer lifespan and solid return on investment for the end user. It is the type of slide that you would share with your children, your partner or friends, filling the photo albums with very special memories.
The toborruedas is 2.24 mts (88”) wide and can be made in construction from 40 to 200 mts (131’ a 656’) in length with single or double exit tubs, it can be combined with closed slides and end in a pool or braking channel.
Its wide and interconnected twists dominate the design which makes the users to reach the very edge of the slide in every turn, in order to keep falling down with an accelerator which makes us fall at a 45° slope to again be shot out of the following curve and finishing by splashing water in the pool or braking channel designed to move us step by step en deceleration until we come to a complete stop.
The quantity of water used by a toborruedas makes it a real elevated river, as if it were an aqueduct transporting 800 persons per hour in a rush of fun. It is most common for them to have over 10 (33’) of height and less than 15 meters (50’), the design of 15 meters being nowadays the preferred design of the majority, with lengths of up to 150 meters (500’) and exits into giant pools which can be connected to slow rivers to continue the journey and broaden the fun for at least a couple more minutes.
The toborruedas is the preferred tire slide of the majority, due to its size and safety it is the one most remembered by people, and due to its longevity surely many people can take their own children to have fun in the same slide that they once experienced with their parents.
